Ahead of the 2023 Senatorial election in Akwa Ibom State, an aspirant for Ikot Ekpene District, Akaninyene Eyo, has advised Nigerians to vote people with cognitive legislative experience for Senate seats
According to him, the red chamber is driven by experience and not a place for on-the-job training.
Eyo, a former member of the House of Representatives for Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, said this while speaking with newsmen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital on Friday.
He said, “The Nigerian Senate is not a place for on the job training but for people that have cognitive experience in the country legislative business…If given the opportunity, I will not disappoint my constituents.”
The aspirant, while soliciting the support of his constituents, advised them to shun all forms of violence, thuggery and other anti-social vices that could impinge the development of the senatorial district in particular and the state in general.
