The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.) Friday in Abuja approved the appointment of Zonal Coordinators for the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons.
The appointments closely follows the approval for the establishment of Zonal Centres in the six geopolitical zones namely, Kaduna, Minna, Maiduguri, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu and Calabar.
This was disclosed late Friday in a statement signed by Air Commodore Ewejide Akintunde, titled ‘The National Security Adviser approves appointment of zonal coordinators for the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons.’
The appointees include Air Vice Marshall HU Mohammed (retd.) for the Northwest Zone, Major General HI Bature (retd.) for North Central and Rear Admiral AS Mohammed (retd.) for Northeast.
Others include, Akinlade Sola (retd.) from the
Department of State Service for the Southwest Zone, Major General Okechukwu Ugo (retd.) for Southeast and Major General IM Obot (retd.) for the South-South Zone.
