Reprieve came the way of the people of Odu Ogbaloto Community in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State as they took delivery of the multi-million naira water project financed by the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala.
The traditional ruler of Ogbaloto, Alhaji Ibrahim Omatiga, who spoke while receiving the 5,000-litre water project on behalf of the Community, described Okala as a worthy son of the community.
He said the borehole, which was handed over to the community by the Personal Assistant to Auditor General, Mr Abdullahi Suleiman, would lessen the perennial water scarcity challenge for thousands of residents of the area.
Chief Omatiga, while appreciating the efforts of Yakubu Okala for his positive response to the yearnings of the people of the community, appealed to the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the State Auditor General to provide solar energy to the area to provide security to the facilities given to them.
