Marina Ovsyannikova, the Russian journalist who was feared missing after protesting midway into a prime-time news broadcast on the most-watched state-owned Channel One TV late Monday, has now been found.
Russian newspaper, Novaya Gazeta, reports that Ovsyannikova is now in a Moscow court and is set to be charged with organising an unauthorised protest.
The PUNCH earlier reported that Ovsyannikova was arrested and detained in an unknown location, sparking fears about her whereabouts.
i News reports that the journalist appeared in Ostankinsky regional court on Tuesday, with human rights lawyer Anton Gashinsky.
A photo of her was shared on the Telegram channel of one of her lawyers, Sergei Badamshin.
