THE Lagos State Government has said the ongoing construction of the Lagos Leather Hub will create employment and equip artisans with infrastructure and equipment.
The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs Yetunde Arobieke, disclosed this on Thursday during the inspection of the construction site in Mushin.
She said, “We have come on an inspection of this massive construction site of the leather hub which will serve as a means of job creation and provide equipment and infrastructure for artisans. I have no doubt that we will meet the completion date as earmarked by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in two months’ time
“Let me tell you categorically that with what we saw on the ground during this our visit to this hub, which, when completed, would be the largest in the country, the contractor performed to our expectations and even beyond. This would make our projection of commissioning it in two weeks’ time feasible.”
