Twitter users have taken to their handles on Thursday to criticise the Department of State Security Security over allegations of a planned bomb attack by the Independent People of Biafra.
The Twitter users noted that the DSS could not use such intelligence to forestall the Kaduna train attack but was quick to label the IPOB group.
The DSS had on Monday, a day of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, released a memo, announcing that the IPOB group was planning an explosion for Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium where the Nigeria-Ghana match was going to hold, calling for adequate deployment of security forces, as the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) was going to attend.
“Till Now, No Single Person Has Been Arrested By The DSS For The Terror Attack And Bombing Of The Abuja – Kaduna Train Stations. Why? Because The Perpetrators Are Fulani. Imagine This Happened In The South East, They Would’ve Falsely Blamed IPOB And Paraded Innocent Igbo Youths,” a user, @General_Somto, tweeted.
He further said, “So, The DSS Did Not Receive Any Intelligence Report On The Kaduna Railway Attack But They Already Had Intelligence About An IPOB Bomb Attack At The National Stadium That Didn’t Happen. And Even Made Sure No Govt Officials Was In Attendance. Their IPOB-IGBOPHOBIC Agenda Continues.”
David Hundeyin equally said, “Apparently the DSS had knowledge of an impending terror attack on the MKO Abiola stadium during the game and all they did was write a memo pinning it on IPOB (their usual punching bags) in advance, and they WENT AHEAD WITH THE GAME.
Buhari didn’t attend the game did he?”
“So just Yesterday alone, Deeper Life Pastor, 3 others killed in fresh herdsmen attack on Benue communities. Why are these wicked souls doing this? Has Pres. Buhari being able to sit down and make findings? Instead, stupid intelligence report isonu from The DSS will be spreading, @trendwithola also posted.
