The award-winning singer was featured in the official soundtrack of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, alongside American R&B singer, Trinidad Cardona and American singer, Aisha – a feat many would admit is huge.

Some netizens however pointed out that his colleagues in the music industry didn’t congratulate him despite the fact that he is the only Nigerian artiste featured in the World Cup soundtrack.
In a seeming reaction to this, Davido shared a cryptic post on Twitter where he insinuated that he is in competition with those in the industry.
“Me vs the Industry, I love it.” he tweeted.
His tweet has now sparked a controversial debate online as some netizens shamed his colleagues for never congratulating him on his wins.
A Twitter user wrote, “When other artistes achieve big things their colleagues congratulate them, when davido achieves big things only his fans and gang congratulate him,God is bigger than them sha ❤️.”
