Two female children were confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred along the Ilesa/Akure Expressway on Sunday, while four other passengers were injured in the crash.
The accident which involved a truck and a Nissan Premia car was said to have been caused by speed limit violation and wrongful overtaking leading to tyre burst.
The spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun Sector Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the accident.
Ogungbemi said, “two vehicles were involved and the probable cause of the accident include; tyre burst, speed limit violation, and wrongful overtaking.
“Four people -1 male adult, 3 female children were injured, 2 female children died in the crash. Injured victims were taken to Wesley Guild Hosptial Ilesa, while remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.”
