THE Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has appreciated the Nigerian Army for providing security and barracks accommodation for corps members.
Ibrahim stated this while on a courtesy visit to the Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Sani Sulaiman, in Owerri, Imo State.
Ibrahim also visited the NYSC Imo State Orientation Camp during which he addressed the 2022 Batch “A” Stream II corps members currently undergoing orientation sessions.
He counseled them on unity, dedication to service, self-employment, and the need for responsible usage of social media.
Ibrahim also congratulated Sulaiman on his new posting and wished him a successful tour of duty.
He said, “The enabling environment created through the partnership of the Army and NYSC has enhanced the performance of corps members in their primary assignment.”
While responding, Sulaiman thanked the NYSC DG for his visit, saying it demonstrated his commitment and concern for the security and general welfare of corps members.
