Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the auto crash involving the convoy of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in which two of his aides reportedly died and two others injured.
The PUNCH reported that a vehicle in the convoy of former President Jonathan, on Wednesday, was involved in ghastly accident.
Two persons were reported to have died in the auto crash, while two others were injured and have been hospitalised.
The former president was, however, unhurt.
In a series of tweets posted to his official Twitter page @atiku, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential aspirant thanked God for sparing the life of the former president, while consoling the families of the dead aides.
“This story comes across with a rude shock. We thank God for sparing the life of President @GEJonathan. But it is heart wrenching that he lost two of his aides to the auto accident.
“I console the immediate families of the deceased as well as President Jonathan. May the souls of the departed Rest In Peace,” Atiku tweeted.
