Newly recruited personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps posted to Osun command have commenced training.
Addressing them during the commencement of training on Wednesday, the Osun NSCDC Commandant, Emmanuel Ocheja, urged the personnel to efficiently perform all tasks given to them during the training, saying doing so would help them get the necessary skills.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Olabisi Atanda, obtained in Osogbo on Wednesday, Ocheja tasked the new officers on patriotism.
He said, “The recruitment and the training being imparted here would help curb incessant criminal activities in the country, as our dear nation is facing security challenges occasioned by the activities of Boko Haram terrorists, armed bandits, kidnappers, vandals, and other criminal activities.
“During this training, put your certificates aside, obey all legitimate orders issued by your instructors, this is a regimented environment, it is a place different from where you are coming from. You are expected to be highly disciplined and obedient.”
