The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Saturday, inaugurated 20 commissioners, cleared by the state House of Assembly.
The governor also appointed Air-Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi (retd.) as a Special Adviser on Security Matters.
The commissioners are; Ifeatu Chinedu (Finance), Prof. Ofonze Amucheazi (Lands), Ifeanyi Okoma (Works and Infrastructure), Chiamaka Nnake (Budget and Economy Planning), Dr Afam Obidike (Health), Patrick Agha-mba (Youth Development), Ifeyinwa Obinabo (Women/Children Affairs), Dr Obinna Ugonnadi (Commerce and Industry), Julius Chukwuemeka (Power and Water Resources), and Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh (Education).
Others are Paul Nwosu (Information), Dr Foster Ihejiofor (Agriculture), Patricia Igwebuike (Transport), Felix Odimegwu (Environment), Chikodi Anara (Home Land Affairs), Prof. Chika Ifemeje (Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice), Collins Nwabunwanne (Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs), Donatus Onyeji (Culture/Entertainment), Anthony Ifeanya (Petroleum), and Paulinus Onyeaka (Housing).
The governor urged the appointees to abide by their oath of office and discharge duties as they have been appointed to do.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the low key event that took place at Government House Awka, the Commissioner for Information, Chief Paul Nwosu, promised to partner with the media to project the agenda of the Soludo-led administration.
In their brief reactions, Senator Victor Umeh and the Vice National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Ogene-Okeke, charged the new appointees to work in line with the governor’s manifesto to take the state to the next level.
