Mr. Abayomi Adegoke, an aide to a former governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has joined the race for the seat of Boripe/Ifelodun/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
A statement titled: ‘2023: Oyinlola’s aide joins Reps’ race,’ issued by Adegoke and obtained in Osogbo on Sunday said the aspirant planned to contest the poll on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Adegoke, who was in charge of the Millennium Development Goals during Oyinlola’s administration, said his intention was because of desire to bring about a new dawn to his federal constituency.
He assured of charismatic and patriotic representation at the green chamber of the National Assembly, if given the mandate.
The statement read, “Iragbiji-born politician asserted that he has consulted critical stakeholders across the political divides and leaders of thoughts in his Federal Constituency before taking a plunge at obtaining the form to contest.
“While expressing the optimism that he would triumph at the end of the day, Adegoke promised to bring his wealth of experience as a former union leader, a political office holder and Project Management expert, to bear,if given the opportunity to represent his people at the National Assembly.”
