Presidential hopeful, Anyim Pius Anyim, has paid a visit to former President of the Senate, Adolphus Wabara, over the death of his wife, Felicia Wabara.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Sam Nwaobasi, on behalf of Anyim Pius Anyim Media Office, on Thursday.
Felicia died on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the age of 69.
According to the Nwaobasi, Anyim received the news of her death while he was away in Bayelsa.
The presidential hopeful was quoted as saying, “I received the very sad news in Yenegoa. I can only imagine how painful and devastating this experience will be for you and your family. It is so sad that you have lost a partner who, for forty years, stood solidly behind you and provided the stability you needed at the home front.”
This is as he urged Wabara to look up to God for the strength and courage to go through the sad incident, adding that, “at moments like this, one has to totally depend on God for the strength and courage to carry on. Our God is loving and able. He will take care of you and your children. So, my brother, please take heart.”
Anyim also told Wabara and his family that, “I pray that the Good Lord, in the richness of is mercy, will comfort and strengthen you and your family.
“May He grant the gentle soul of your loving wife eternal rest in His bosom,” he concluded.
Responding, Wabara who is the current Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees thanked Anyim for coming to commiserate with his family over the demise of his wife.
