Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have recovered the corpse of a society lady from a hotel room in the Ozoro community, Isoko Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, said on Friday that “the victim’s arms and legs were tied, but no part of her body was severed.”
He noted that the victim was not beheaded as being insinuated in some quarters.
Our correspondent gathered that the deceased society lady, identified as Miss Adegor Rukewe Sophia, was found dead inside a room at the Palms Hotel Resorts, Ozoro, on Tuesday.
Sources said when her corpse was discovered, the management of the hotel reported the incident to the police.
However, the hotel manager, who reported the incident alongside the workers on duty, were said to have been arrested and detained by the police.
The corpse was said to have been removed and deposited in the morgue of an undisclosed hospital in the area.
