The 21-year-old singer who recently gained admission into UNILAG but is yet to resume due to the ongoing ASUU strike, had taken to Twitter to share his grievance about the strike and appealed to ASUU to call it off.
“ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o, e don do nau! 😖” he tweeted on Sunday, April 18.
In reaction, Bowen University, a private University, took to its official Twitter page to shoot its shot at Rema, while prepositioning itself as a good option for him as he would not be affected by ASUU strike.
“ASUU can’t delay you if you’re enrolled in Bowen University”, the official handler wrote.
Rema, responding, drew UNILAG’s attention to Bowen’s offer and stated that he is slowly falling for it.
“Unilag private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it 🙈😏”, he wrote.
The Lagos Varsity, responding via its official Twitter page, told the singer not to fall for Bowen’s offer because they’ve chosen him already.

Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o…
Rema no dey vex for us o 🎶”
In response, Rema wrote, “Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy! 😔💔🇳🇬”
In conclusion of the interesting convo that has gotten social media buzzing, UNILAG urged the singer to calm down, quoting a line from his hit track “Calm down”.
