A lecturer at Delta State University (DELSU), Prof Ovaborhene Idamoyibo, has reportedly died, barely 24 hours ater he was freed by his abductors.
The Professor, who was the Head of Music Department, was abducted on April 9, at Eku of the state, while on his way back to Abraka after a family meeting.
His [email protected] had demanded a N50million ransom from his wife, but sources claimed the sum of N3million was eventually paid to his abductors.
According to Nigerian Tribune, Idamoyibo was released on Sunday night after the abductors were said to have collected N3 million as ransom.
He was reportedly dumped unconscious on a lonely bridge in Abraka, where some passersby stumbled on him and rushed him to the hospital. He was, however, pronounced dead on arrival.
