No fewer than 100 newly recruited officers into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State command commenced training on Thursday.
Our correspondent gathered that the recruits were expected to support the command in serving the needs of residents after their three-month training.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Buhari Saad, the commandant has tasked the recruits on discipline and dedication.
He disclosed that the newly recruited officers have been enjoined to uphold the trust reposed in them, adding that they have been asked to discharge their service without fear or favour.
Saad said, “The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command has commenced training for its newly recruited personnel of the Corps.
“Commandant Waziri Baba Goni, while addressing the trainees at the training ground congratulated them and charged them to be disciplined as officers of the Corps.”
Saad urged the recruits to always remember discipline, selflessness and loyalty as key aspects of the corps.
He added, “Commandant Goni advised them to remain focused and committed to training so that they will complete the three months training and proceed to NSCDC training school.”
