According to the President, his Administration has done well despite the limited resources at its disposal.
Buhari said this at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which held in Abuja.
In his words;
“I will like us to reflect on what the situation was before we came in. How many Local Government Areas were under the control of terrorists in the North-East? In the South-South, we all know what the situation was; now we have relative peace. With the resources at our disposal, we have done very well.
People are very forgetful. Our main problem now is in the North West and North Central. People are killing one another in these places, what for? We are going to be very tough.’’
In related news, the President mourned the tragic passing of two officers in a Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Kaduna.
Buhari ordered an investigation into the cause of the crash, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari mourns victims of Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Kaduna.’
Reacting to the death of Flight Lieutenant Abubakar Alkali and Flight Lieutenant Elijah Karatu, the President said: “I am shocked beyond words by the demise of these two promising young men who risked their lives in the service of the country.
“There is no reward big enough to pay for the services of these young and dedicated professional airmen in the service of their country.”
