According to the young man known on the microblogging platform as @hensennygold1, he booked the ride using a popular ride-hailing app in Lagos. The driver arrived in no time and conveyed him to his destination.
On arriving at his destination, his bill was N1300, so he opted to pay by bank transfer. However, he mistakenly paid N130,000 into the cabbie’s account instead of the N1,300 that was charged.
Taking to Twitter, he disclosed that all efforts to reach him so he could make a refund had proved abortive.
In an updated tweet, he revealed that the cabman had transferred the money from the account to another account. He also added that the cabman’s deliberately turned off his phone, making it impossible to reach him.
