In a bid to curb the increased prices of food commodities, the Chairman, Kebbi State Traders’ Association, Alhaji Umar Dangura-Gwadongwaji, has appealed to the government at all levels to give necessary financial support to traders in order to assist them reduce prices of commodities across the state.
Dangura-Gwadongwaji made the appeal recently at a meeting with his executive members and leaders of the association from 21 local government areas of the state in Birnin Kebbi.
He said it had become imperative in view of current inflationary rates in the country, noting that the situation had stopped many economic activities, thereby forcing some traders to stop their businesses.
The chairman, however, noted that prices of commodities were increasing on daily basis, leaving the poor masses at the receiving end.
