The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, has won the All Progressives Congress primary election for the Umaisha/Ugya state constituency seat.
The Speaker, who is seeking a third term in office, got the entire 30 votes of the delegates as he had no contender in the primary election.
Speaking in Toto Local Government Area on Friday night, the Returning Officer, Jibrin Sabo said, “Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi is the winner of the primary election having scored all the 30 votes casted by delegates.
“We successfully screened all the 30 delegates that participated in the election and they all casted their votes for him.
“Therefore, by the powers vested in me as the returning officer of this election, I hereby declare him as the winner of this election.”

Speaker Abdullahi who spoke through his Political Adviser, Muhammed Usman, expressed gratitude to all the delegates for the love and support shown to him while commending his constituents for having faith in his leadership, promising not to disappoint them if he is reelected in the 2023 general election.
