The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress to elect him as the party’s presidential candidate.
He spoke at the convention of the party on Tuesday.
He said, “Having spent 23 years in the National Assembly, I am eminently qualified to be President. Worldwide, developed democracies are run by parliamentarians.
“Look very closely to ensure that we elect someone that will ensure the APC achievements so far are consolidated.”
