Both parties appeared before a Sharia court in Kaduna state on Monday, June 6, where Musa presented his complaint.
According to him, he had been dating the actress for a while and she promised to get married to him.
“So far I have spent N396,000 on her. Anytime she asks for money, I give her without hesitation with the hope that we will marry. She also failed to show up in Gusau, Zamfara where I live after I made all arrangements to host her,” Musa added.
According to reports, the case was first heard in court on May 23 but the actress failed to appear in court despite being served.
Speaking in her defense, her counsel, Mr Mubarak Kabir said she wasn’t sure about the authenticity of the case.
“My client’s position as a celebrity attracts different kinds of people with different intentions. She is very vigilant regarding her safety and security,” Kabir added.
He then appealed to the court to give him more time to present the actress before the court.
Thereafter, the case was adjourned till June 13 by the presiding judge, Malam Rilwanu Kyaudai.
