According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Hellas Verona left-back Destiny Udogie, who had a breakout season during the previous campaign.
Tottenham have already strengthened at left wing-back this summer with the signing of Ivan Perisic, who arrived on a free transfer.
According to reports (Football.London), Antonio Conte rates Ryan Sessegnon highly and believes that the Croat will be able to mentor the England Under-21 international.
However, if Di Marzio’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs might not be done strengthening their left flank despite winning the race for Perisic, with the North London club also said to be eyeing a move for Udogie.
The 19-year-old, who spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Udinese, scored five goals and provided three assists, featuring both at left-back and left wing-back (Transfermakrt).
Di Marzio claims that while Spurs do hold an interest in the Italy Under-21 international, the Premier League club are yet to begin negotiations for the player.
In addition, he adds that the Lilywhites could face competition for Udogie’s signature from Inter Milan, who are looking to replace Perisic.
