The PUNCH reports that the meeting, which was tagged, “Just before you go,” was convened to redefine the next generation so that they could create an impact that would outlive the older generation and reverse ancestral curses in the land.
Addressing the meeting, Apostle Bako said the purpose of the meeting was to change the status quo where parents in the land, who might have out-lived their youthfulness, did not see the need to leave a good foundation for their children to build on.
He lamented why senior citizens were shying away from making declarations and proclamations that would speak into the existence of a new society, children, and grandchildren.
Bako, who is the founder of Power-Based Church in Kafanchan, encouraged them to ensure that they built and create a family, community, and regional tree of existence so that the younger generations could key into it and benefit, even after they must have transited from life.
The convener also appealed to the older generation in the land to ensure to teach their children the history of where they were coming from so that they would also transfer same to the future generations.
While emphasising the need for parents to continue to pronounce and declare blessings on their children no matter the circumstance, Apostle Bako explained that doing so would create a bright future for them.
The meeting, which was attended by a good number of elders in the land, resolved to begin to make positive declarations as they renewed their commitment to guiding their children in making decisions that would guarantee their future.
