Oyetola spoke in Iragbiji, his hometown on Monday while addressing a campaign rally held for his reelection.
He, however, called on his supporters to work very hard, urging them not to panic despite some people parading hoodlums as members of their party.
He said, “Are you not happy about our victory in Ekiti? Both states are from the same region. Our party will excel more than the result of the Ekiti election.
“Let us work towards that and pray. Don’t panic, despite that they are parading thugs as members. Before the election, those thugs would have run away.
“I appreciate God that the 3 years and a half we were able to deliver infrastructure among others.
“This can be felt in Boripe, I am imploring you, to vote for us because the governor is from this local government. Vote for your own, vote APC because God had mercy on you. If they are sharing governorship slot, it will be difficult for this town to get it.”
He implored those that have not collected their Permanent Voter Cards to do so, saying from information available to him, over 600,000 PVCs were yet to be collected from Independent National Electoral Commission.
