The singer’s police escorts were alleged to have shot and wounded two fun-seekers at the club after one of their partners turned down his offer to join him and his friends in their VIP section.
The said lady has shared her side of the story, adding that the club management only reached out to them four days after the incident and had yet to release a close circuit tv footage or press statement on the issue.
Following her story, tweeps have slammed the club and its owner for keeping silent on the shooting incident and has demanded for a CCTV footage.
A tweep, @poojamedia, said, “The lady that Burna Boy approached has shared her story. Police should take it up and invite Burna Boy and his friends with guns for their part. Cubana club should provide CCTV and justice must be served. You can’t enter a club and start shooting like GTA.”
“Why can’t the club produce the CCTV footage? At least, the club can do that to clear the air on alleged Burna gangsterism,” @socio scholar tweeted.
Seeking for the closure of the club, @bnxgangster tweeted, “Shut down Cubana. Shut down Cubana. Shut down Cubana. Shut down Cubana. If @burnaboy can do that at Cubana Club and get away with it like it’s nothing and Obi Cubana is doing nothing to get justice for those affected, then I think the Lagos State government should shut down the club.”
“The club needs to release the CCTV footage of that night. Burna Boy and his thugs should at least have the decency to apologise! There is no justification as to why his boys should open fire during a verbal altercation. The police should take action. Nobody is above the law!” @benniedicta tweeted.
@iam_sexysavage_ said, “This country is a joke. How can there be gun violence at a club (two people were shot) for the past two weeks and no official statement has been made by the club Cubana and a full investigation hasn’t been launched by the police?
“By now, the police are supposed to have contacted Obi Cubana to release all CCTV footage for that day to investigate Burna boy and his boys and whatever happened that night. At the moment, that club is a haven of big boys that intimidate regular people with their gangs. Not a safe place to have fun at all.”
The Lagos State Police Commissioner’s Special Squad has detained five policemen attached to the singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, for attempted murder after shooting the fun-seekers.
