Ramatu Yunusa, wife of the chairman of the Zamfara State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Sanusi Gusau, abducted last Tuesday, was said to have been delivered of a baby girl while in captivity.
The PUNCH reported that Ramatu, who was nine months pregnant, was abducted in her husband’s house in Damba Gusau in the early hours of Tuesday.
News trending on social media reported that Ramatu was delivered of a baby girl at the bandits’ camp few hours after her abduction.
Speaking to The PUNCH, however, her husband, who said he also saw the same the news on Facebook, said he had yet to be contacted by his wife’s captors.
“I have seen the post on Facebook but the bandits are yet to reach out me.
“I can agree with the post because she could give birth at anytime because her expected delivery date is around the corner,” Gusau said.
