Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, on Wednesday, replaced the Chairman of the Kano Pillars Football Club (Sai Masu Gida), Surajo Yahaya, with the Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima, as part of moves to strengthen the club.
In a press statement, the Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, Abba Anwar, quoted the governor as saying, “As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in the National Premier League, it would be good to have a leadership that could perfectly lead the Club to victory.
“Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, prior to the appointment of a substantive Chairman.”
The appointment is with immediate effect.
