Meanwhile, the remains of her two brothers who were shot dead on the ill-fated night, have been buried by agonising and wailing family members and friends on Saturday.
The remains of the two siblings were buried side-by-side at the church cemetery in Kwarhi, near Mubi, in Adamawa State.
The PUNCH had reported the attack by gunmen at the residence of the pastor, who was reportedly shot, along with his two teenage sons while the gunmen abducted his 13-year-old daughter.
The sons died while the pastor is fighting to survive in the hospital.
The ferocious gunmen had stormed the residence of Reverend Daniel Umaru of the ‘Eklesiya Yan’uwa A Nigeria’ (EYN), also known as Church of the Brethren, at Njairi in the Mubi Local Government Area and carried out the dastardly act.
A family source told our reporter on Sunday morning that the kidnapped minor was set free by her abductors after collecting a huge amount of money as ransom.
“We paid money, huge amount of money, of course, before they released her to us on Saturday evening, just after her two brothers were laid to rest at the EYN Church headquarters in Kwarhi.
“As of now, both her parents are fighting for their lives at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, due to gunshot injury and trauma,” the family member said.
