Premier League club, Newcastle United, has been reportedly offered the chance to sign Watford star Emmanuel Dennis.
Dennis made 30 league appearances for Watford having joined the club last summer from Club Brugge. In that spell, he scored 10 times and assisted a further six.
According to the Chronicle Live, Magpies manager Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his squad with a centre-forward signing before the close of the summer transfer window and is keen to add the Nigerian to his ranks.
With the future of Dwight Gayle up in the air having been sent to train with the reserves, the Magpies are left with only two recognized strikers in Chris Wood and Callum Wilson.
Dennis available for a fee of around £20m, was left out of Watford’s pre-season training camp in Austria, an indication that he isn’t in the plans of Rob Edwards for the new season.
But is expected to resume training with the rest of the squad on Monday (today).
His compatriot William Troost-Ekong, Maduka Okoye and Tom Dele-Bashiru were part of the Hornets squad that trained in Austria.
