The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Napoli with the Partenopei placing a €100m price tag on the Nigeria international
Osimhen who scored 18 goals last season for Napoli is on the radar of Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Dosu Joseph who spoke with PUNCH Sports Extra labeled Osimhen as his favourite Eagles player and warned the forward not to leave the Italian club this summer.
“Osimhen’s one of my favourite Eagles players at the moment,” Dosu told PUNCH Sports Extra.
“He’s sacrificed himself a lot during games. The shift he puts in makes me his huge fan. I’m sure he will be going nowhere. I feel he should stay at Napoli for another season play in the UEFA Champions League and get better.”
Former Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh also believed that the former Lille striker will be Napoli’s leading man in attack if he stays.
“He has all the qualities to excel at the club so I think he should stay,” Oliseh said.
“I’m happy to see him now finally doing his thing, he can be better than Samuel Eto’o if he keeps up with his scoring form.
“One thing is certain, should any team get (Victor) Osimhen they will move strikingly up to another level.”
Osimhen recently scored four goals against Sao Tome in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in June.
