Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, one of the recently released kidnap victims and the son of the Chairman, Northern Elders Forum, Prof Ango Abdullahi, has called on the Federal Government to take action for the release of 43 other victims kidnapped on March 28, after the Abuja–Kaduna train was attacked by terrorists in Katari, Kaduna State.
Abdullahi, in a tweet on Wednesday, said he regained freedom after 104 days in captivity.
The PUNCH reports the terrorists released seven more hostages on Saturday.
Appreciating Nigerians on Twitter, Abdullahi tweeted, “Alhamdulillah… I regained freedom after 104 days in captivity. I thank the many people out there, family, friends, and well-wishers that prayed and wished for my safe return during these trying times.”
Abdullahi noted that he left 43 other victims in the kidnappers’ den including aged women and children.
“Indeed, it is a big relief to be home with family, but I am afraid that relief is temporary knowing I left 43 others including aged women and children below the age of 10 that are still in captivity waiting and hoping to be rescued. I am once again calling on the Federal Government and all Nigerians to help secure the release of the remaining victims
