A group, the Igbo Youths for Positive Change, has commended the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for the repair his administration did at the Amansea section of the Enugu/Awka Expressway.
The group said this has brought sanity and given motorists a sigh of relief.
Addressing journalists in Awka on Saturday, the National President of the group, Mr Chinedu Obigwe, said since the assumption of Soludo, he has been living up to the expectation of the good people of Anambra who reposed confidence on him.
Obigwe added that despite the fact that the governor inherited lots of challenges, he is doing his best to tackle them.
He pointed out the target of the governor is to turn the state to a liveable and prosperous homeland by working on all sectors of governance.
According to him, the demolition of structures built on waterways in Onitsha is for the safety of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra.
He said, “The governor has been repairing failed portions of Anambra roads. As if that was not enough, he used one of the best construction companies known in the state with quality projects delivery to repair the Amawbia section of the Enugu/Awka Expressway.
“The poor condition of the road had been causing serious gridlock for motorists but after the rehabilitation, the gridlock disappeared from that section of the road and motorists plying that road are now enjoying it.
“Another commendable thing he did was the quick response to the outbreak of monkey pox in the state. The state government also brought foreign development partners to Anambra for them to tap on the opportunities in the state and invest in our beloved state.
“The truth is that when Soludo is done with what he has in mind for Ndi Anambra, our state will be transformed into one of the best states in Nigeria and Africa at large.
“The good people of Anambra will continue giving him overwhelming support to enable him actualise his mission of turning Anambra to a liveable and prosperous homeland.”
