The Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation has announced the third cycle of Project 40at40.
This, according to foundation, was in furtherance of the founder’s annual In Vitro Fertilisation grant, given to couples who have been without a child for a long time.
This announcement was made at a Friday press conference held in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Project 40at40 was established upon the demise of the Late Mrs Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo, whose wish was to give 40 couples 40 IVF grants on her 40th birthday.
The foundation’s chairman, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, speaking during the press briefing, stated that the foundation has, in collaboration with renowned fertility medical partners, administered IVF treatments to 80 recipients since its inception.
“Beneficiaries of the first and second cycles have resulted in 10 babies thus far with many others currently undergoing their gestation period.
“We are glad to announce that for the maiden cycle in 2020, we had nine new births, including a set of triplets. For the year 2021, we have a baby already, nine pregnancies while four are still undergoing treatment,” he said.
He also asked members of the public to donate to the cause of the foundation using the foundation’s website.
The foundation’s Executive Secretary, Grace Ogunniyi, said the portal for registration would be open on July 19, 2022, noting that the foundation would need financial support from corporate and individual sponsors.
