The Deputy President of the Senate and Delta State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege , has commiserated with the family of the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, in Warri South Local Government Area of the state, late Sir Emmanuel Okumagba, on the passage of the monarch.
This was contained in a condolence message signed by Senator Omo-Agege to the Okere Urhobo Kingdom, the Urhobo Nation, and the people of the state.
In the message, Omo-Agege, also condoled with the state government and prayed to God to comfort the family, friends, and subjects of the departed monarch.
The Delta Central lawmaker applauded the royal father’s invaluable contributions to the development of the state during his reign , noting that the late king would be remembered and celebrated for his worthy services as the Chief Custodian of the traditions of the Okere Urhobo people.
Omo-Agege urged the Okere Urhobo community to continue to honour Okumagba’s legacy of commitment to peaceful co-existence, prosperity and harmony.
The monarch reportedly died at the weekend.
