An Imesi-Ile, Osun State-based traditionalist, Oba Adetoyese Olakisan, has listed three conditions the Osun governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, must fulfill to have a successful tenure in office.
Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party was returned elected in the July 16 governorship poll, defeating the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, of the All Progressives Congress.
In an exclusive chat with our correspondent, Olasakin said Adeleke must first admit that the task ahead of him was huge and bring on board only those with proven integrity and capacity that would help him.
He urged Adeleke to be wary of people that would be offering him wrong advice and implored him to always ensure he remained on the path of truth, even if told to do otherwise by people around him.
He also advised the governor-elect not to forget his root, but to always honour those that deserved it, and keep his attention on only issues that would benefit the general populace.
He stressed that Adeleke should also prepare himself spiritually for the job before him, adding that with prayers to God, he will have a successful tenure.
“He must also remember his root. He must not forget to give respect to those that deserve it. He must remain on the path of truth and do only what will benefit the general populace and not just a few people,” Olakisan said.
