The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), Friday, commiserated with Nigeria’s former ambassador to Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, as well as the Chairman, Governing Council, Federal University of Technology Akure, Godknows Igali, and his family, on the passing of his mother, Fanny Igali.
President Buhari’s condolence message was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari condoles with Ambassador Igali over mother’s death.’
According to Adesina, “The President joins the family in mourning the foremost professional Caterer and Hotel Manager, who at various times, served as a Catering Officer, Government House, Old Rivers State, Borno College of Basic Studies and former Manager, Lake Chad Hotel, Maiduguri.
“Eulogising the late community leader and educationist for her lifelong commitment to discipline, kindness, and generosity and the wide-ranging impact of these values on her children, students, and members of her community, the President prays to God Almighty to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.”
President Buhari, thereafter, wished the family divine comfort as they went through the period of grief.
