A non-profit organisation, Wells for Hope, has donated two water-pumping systems to Igbesa town, Ogun State, in a bid to ensure that the community has access to clean water.
This was disclosed in a statement by the organisation on Thursday, adding that borehole water supplies have been successfully installed in other communities in the state since 2019.
The statement read, “Found and led by Jessica and Kenneth Wang in 2019, Wells for Hope aims to provide fresh water to communities across Nigeria. This non-profit organisation’s campaign has been in inception since 2019 and has successfully installed borehole water supplies in Osi community in Igbesa town, Ogun State, as part of community development projects.
“In July 2022, Wells for Hope completed the first quarter installation of two water pumping systems (borehole) in Igbe Community, Igbesa town, Ogun State, granting the community access to fresh water, and marking the start of the organisation’s 2022 project.”
“The people of Igbe community expressed their profound joy and gratitude to Wells for Hope and the people behind the campaign for their generous support of the community.”
