Gospel singer and intercontinental director of music at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kunle Ajayi, has revealed the idea behind using 70 horns and 300 orchestra to celebrate the 70th annual convention of the church.
Noting that the anniversary marks a unique and important time in the ministry’s journey, he said, “I am a musicologist. I have being part of many great concerts all over the world, and I have played as a multi-instrumentalist at those programmes. I can interpret music at the shortest notice. Our plan is to be at our very best in music ministrations. Don’t forget that the event is an international programme. People will be coming from all over the world.”
Ajayi also stated that the church had put platforms in place to help gospel musicians excel. He said, “Of course, they are doing so well. In our church, for instance, there are many platforms for gospel musicians to excel and be the best they can be.
“I also want to use this medium to appreciate God in the life of our father in the Lord, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and our ‘mama’, Pastor Folu Adeboye, for exemplary leadership and yielding to God in taking the Church to where God has destined it to be.”
