About 5 months after he was declared wanted, the Osun State Police Command in the early hours of Sunday arrested a suspected cultist, Rasheed Hammed, popularly known as Rasidi Oko’lu.
Reliable security sources told our correspondent that Oko’lu was arrested in his hideout in Osogbo, Osun State capital around 4am by men of the Anti-Cultism Unit of Osun Police Command.
Oko’lu was declared wanted in March by the police, after allegedly causing the death of a Higher National Diploma graduate of Banking and Finance of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, awaiting his call-up letter, as well as, a commercial motocyclist, whose identities were not made known during a fight in Ede.
Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, in a text message to our correspondent said, “Yes. We arrested him last night.”
