A lady, identified simply as Bimbo, living in Osogbo, Osun State, has recounted her ordeal in the hands of suspected kidnappers, who reportedly abducted her while she transited from one part of the metropolis to another.
Bimbo, in a viral video obtained by our correspondent on Wednesday, said she took a commercial motorcycle going to Ayetoro, Osogbo, but was later joined by another male passenger, who sat at her back.
Rather than the motorcycle heading towards Ayetoro, Bimbo said the rider diverted to the Oja Oba area and headed towards the Osogbo/Ilesa Road.
The victim explained that when she protested that the motorcycle was not heading towards Ayetoro Road, the male passenger threatened to kill her if she raised the alarm.
“I was later taken to a place where a minibus was waiting which had some passengers in it already and I was pushed inside the bus.
“The bus headed towards Ilesa and shortly before we entered town, the bus stopped. Our abductors brought out a charm and touched the heads of all those abducted with it after which they remarked that I would not be useful to them.
“They took the money I had on me and pushed me into the bush. From where I was pushed, I managed to crawl back to the road and boarded a vehicle coming to Osogbo,” she added.
The state Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, while reacting to the incident in a statement, said criminals had infiltrated the ranks of commercial transport operators in the state.
She, therefore, called on residents to be more security conscious as they moved around and avoid motorcycles, mini-buses or buses without number plates.
