A 28-year-old man, Aina Adebayo, has been remanded in custody for allegedly sodomising a minor in the Ipaja area of Lagos State.
Adebayo, who was said to be facing a one-count bordering on sexual assault, was arraigned before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s Court.
The charge read in part, “That you, Aina Adebayo, sometime in 2021, at Saint Doregas Private Academy, Akin-Ogun, Ipaja Road, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did penetrate sexually the anus of the victim without his consent.”
The prosecutor, Supol Paul, said the defendant committed an offence punishable under section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate O.M Ajayi ordered the remand of the defendant.
The matter was adjourned till September 20, 2022
