Following the demise of Habu Oyigwu, the erstwhile controller of Immigration in Gombe in March 2022, a new helmsman, Ado Rano, has been deployed to the state.
Our correspondent reports that Oyigwu passed after a brief ailment at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe after deployment on September 16, 2021.
Receiving Rano, who was at the Government House on familiarisation visit, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, wished him well, urging him to work assiduously with other agencies to ensure the security of residents.
He said, “I want to assure you of Government’s collaboration and continued support to the Immigration Service as well as other federal agencies in the state.”
Rano lauded the State Government for the cordial working relationship already existing between the state and the service appealing for more of such support.
The immigration boss pledged to work in harmony with the present administration in the State “in discharging my responsibilities as the new man in charge of the immigration service in the state.”
