The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is presently combating an intense fire incident at Owode Onirin in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the fire, which started around 7:40 pm on Thursday has razed shops in the area of the state.
According to reports on its Twitter page, @LagosRescue, the arrival of the firefighters met well alight and subdued in record time leaving only a few shops affected.
The statement read, “Among the multitude of the automobile spare parts section of the market, there was neither case of injury nor death as damping down of the echelon of fire continues to bring the firefighting into conclusion.
“The cause of the fire will subsequently be investigated thereafter.”
