The Social Democratic Party presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, on Tuesday, held a closed-door meeting with the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III.
The parley, according to sources, was held inside the private residence of the monarch in Warri, Delta State.
It was gathered that the visit was part of the ongoing consultation of Prince Adebayo, an international lawyer and owner of KAFTAN TV, to actualise his presidential ambition.
On arrival at the private residence of Atuwatse III, who recently celebrated his one year anniversary on the throne, the SDP presidential candidate, who drove in a Rolls Royce, was led to see the monarch by Prince Yemi Emiko, a member of the royal family.
Our correspondent gathered that the SDP presidential candidate went into a closed-door meeting with Atuwatse III shortly after an exchange of pleasantries and photos session with the traditional ruler.
Details of the closed-door meeting could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, but it might not be unconnected to the 2023 general election, according to insiders.
In the entourage of the SDP presidential candidate were some members of his campaign organisation led by Mr. Godwin Osigbeme and the Delta State governorship candidate of the party, Chief Kenneth Gbagi.
