Nigerian prolific rapper and singer, Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has been ordered to remain in prison by a Nigerian court.
Recall that the award-winning rapper was arrested and detained by the police force on Friday, September 2, 2022, on several charges.
The police PRO in an official statement confirmed on social media that Ice Prince was stopped by the police for driving without a plate number and when he was being escorted to the police station, he allegedly abducted, assaulted and threatened to throw the said officer into the river.
As it stands, the ‘Oleku’ crooner is standing trial on a three-count charge bordering on assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties, and abduction.
According to reports, the magistrate court had earlier granted the rapper bail in the sum of N500,000 and asked him to provide two responsible sureties.
However, the alleged assault trial of the former chocolate signee was adjourned till October 24 following the absence of the prosecution witnesses.
The court also ordered that Ice Prince remain at the Ikoyi correctional facility until he perfects the bail conditions.
