This report comes barely 24 hours after the revered Yoruba monarch welcomed a new bride into the palace.
The Ooni of Ife’s latest queen, Mariam Anako, was ushered into the Ile-Ife Palace late Tuesday evening, September 6, after the completion of all necessary wedding rites permitted by tradition.
Following Anako’s arrival at the Ife Palace, a team of chiefs from the royal home in Osun State paid a visit to the family of another bride-to-be, Dr Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda, from the Magodo area of Lagos state. Leadership reports
A source at the palace who reportedly made the disclosure to the news platform said Akinmuda is a Scotland-based electronic data processor and a native of Ondo City in Ondo State.
Ooni of Ife welcomed Maria Anako to the palace months after Queen Naomi announced her separation from the monarch.

She also told her kinsmen not to associate her with the Ooni or Ife or call her the Queen of Ile-Ife any longer. However, the palace maintained that the royal couple are still married.
