A former governor of Taraba State, Rev Jolly Nyame, on Sunday said his prison sentence, which took him away from public service for four years, has a divine purpose.
Nyame, who stated this while addressing those who received him in Jalingo, said he holds no grudges against anybody.
He said, “I hold no grudges against anybody. My absence from the state for the past four years has a divine purpose.
“The period I stayed in prison has made me see life differently, especially what people are passing through.
“I hold no grudges against anybody and I have forgiven all who God used to send me to prison.”
The former governor, who was recently pardoned by the Federal Government, thanked the President, Major General Muhummadu Buhari (retd.) and the Council of State for the pardon granted him.
